Wrote a 3 stanza Haiku today on the below picture by Jackie Ley of the the New Forests in Southern England as part of the Carpe Diem #1252

Amidst the hustle-bustle,
A green heaven lies,
Purple specks, white butterflies…
Soft, it caresses,
A lush carpet, ‘neath sprawled,
Spirit tingles, roused!
A mild, earthy whiff stirs,
Feel the stillness, a peace, a calm,
Hush! It’s paradise!
Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is the place to be if you like to write and share haiku, tanka or other Japanese poetry forms such as choka and kikobun. It’s a warmhearted family of haiku poets created by Chèvrefeuille, a Dutch haiku poet. Japanese poetry is the poetry of nature and it gives an impression of a moment as short as the sound of a pebble thrown into water.

Yes. Nature is beautiful. Can’t seem to get enough of it. It’s a wonder how people take it for granted. Thank you so much for the lovely comment on the poem.
