Thursday Doors

I took pictures of these doors seven months ago when Mumbai opened up for a while in October 2020. Then we went into a second lockdown in April 2021. We’ve opened up partially now. However, we haven’t been moving around much because there are still a number of restrictions. I hope to get more interesting pictures of doors once I step outside mine :). If you want to see some very beautiful pictures of doors, do check out the blog below. Have a lovely Thursday. https://mexcessive.photo.blog/2021/06/17/thursday-doors-17-6-21-villa-cetinale-2/

  1. I hope things open up for you and it is safe to move about soon. These are classic doors that you’ve shared today. White, multi=pane, beveled glass panels. I love the glass transoms.

    1. Thank you Dan for visiting and thank you for ‘Thursday Doors.’ Its made me look at doors more closely now. I guess I’m going to be learning quite a bit now about doors :). I had no idea that the term for those prism like glass edges was called ‘beveled’ until now.

    1. Thank you so much for your warm words and blessings. I had to literally comb through my gallery of photos to find pictures of doors. It brought back some happy memories 🙂 . Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Hugs.

  2. Ahh, Smitha, how lovely to see you taking part in Thursday Doors, and that you link to me! Thank you for that. I think I like your first photo the most, partly because of the most splendid floor. And I love the quote!!

Please, be so kind and do two things, so that other people (including Dan, our host) will know that you are taking part this week. One, go to Dan’s post (https://nofacilities.com/2021/06/24/bits-of-historic-hartford/) and leave a comment with your link there, and two, include a link to his post here, in your post. Thank you! Welcome to Thursday Doors family! 🙂 It is not necessary to take part every week. Whenever you have doors to show, we will always be happy to see them.
