I had this round canvas that I bought six months ago, sitting idle below my desk. Last week, I decided to paint it but had no idea what to paint on it. So, I typed ‘paintings on round canvas’, ‘circle paintings’ on google and Pinterest and finally came across a painting on eBay that had my favorite color palette and my favorite subject – nature. So, I decided to give it a try.

Here is a picture of the painting I did.

A clearer picture after cropping out the easel on which it stood and after some more layers of paint-

G.S. Subbu, the author of several books saw the painting on Instagram and commented ‘Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin’ . I’m sharing this here because it’s a wonderful feeling when your art reminds someone of a song they’ve heard and like, or a place they’ve been to, or makes them dream, or simply makes them happy. Here’s the link for the song, for those who wish to hear it Stairway to Heaven

Would love to know your views on the painting.

    1. Yes, I shared it on Fb story. I envisioned your home to be like Michelle’s home in ‘ A ghost and his gold’ with carved wooden furniture and lots of curios. Your collection of plates fits right in🙂.

        1. Ah really :)…there were so many other places I saw you in the book… the fact that Tom was working for an audit firm and the bread recipe :). I enjoyed reading it very, very much.
